Don't you just love to plant? After 3 months of winter, (those of you in the North,Utah, Colorado, Idaho, and the like have only about 3 more months to wait), I have the bug, and so out I went. I dug up an area around the back fence and hulled in about 2 inches of sand and then 4 inches of top soil. Then after 9 months of no rain it rained and with that rain washed all my topsoil into my neighbors yard on the other side of the fence. Great stuff. So I bought some rock, yes rock, I bought white rocks. Not so precious a stone but still rock, and filled in the washing area and now I have a dry river bed in my back yard. And ofcourse flowers.

Mom,
I am so so jealous that your yard is blooming. You have no idea how much I wish we could trade states right now. But, I think that later this summer you will be wanting to trade places with me when the temperature is 100+ there.
Can't wait for you to come to Colorado and meet your newest granddaughter this May/June.
Love ya!
You do great work in the yard. Can't wait to see what magic you do in mine!!!
Beautiful - I love rocks but hate the idea of buying them. Have you every gone rock hunting? It's harder than it sounds
